Atmosphereis really good. I have been beauty in the pot VivoCity yesterday night with my best friend. All the environment is good, e specially the college soup is really fantastic and good taste. It is a great place to go with your besties for a fun time. They have private rooms and a children's play area so kids can be entertained...as well. Sauces are a must for hotpots and they have an impressive range. There is a recipe for different sauces which you can experiment with. Ordering is simple with the digital menu which is clear and easy to use. The signature collagen soup was creamy and loaded with red dates. I definitely recommend drinking the soup before putting anything in. All the ingredients are fresh and my favourite is the blood jelly. To nibble on was the crispy egg salted fish skin which are so addictive. The noodles go well in the spicy soup and they have a nice chew to it. Definitely coming back but a bit later as I am waiting for the Signature Homemade Tofu Fish as this is one of the famous items in Singapore which seems problematic!!MoreDate of visit October 2019Helpful?This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A bowl of warm collagen soup warms the soul and nourishes your body. Who wouldn’t want it? No wonder restaurants like Beauty in The Pot which serve collagen soup are pretty popular in I dare say that Singaporeans love eating hot pot. I am not sure if it is just a Chinese thing where we like to gather around a big pot of soup and dip our favourite meat and vegetables into it. But I do know that such communal dining affairs, over comfort food, are indeed in The PotThe Post-Circuit Breaker Hot Pot ExperienceWhat we ordered?Twin pot Beauty Collagen Soup $ + Spicy Nourishing Broth $ Nagano Belly 1/2 $ Pork Collar 1/2 $ Assorted Balls Platter $ Vegetables Chinese Cabbage 1/2 $ + Lotus Root 1/2 $ + Potato slices 1/2 $ Beancurd Skin 1/2 $ Prawn PasteDessertsComplimentary Birthday CakeMy Verdict on Beauty in The PotBeauty in The PotI’ve tried collagen hot pot before in Singapore but I’ve not tried Beauty in The Pot. My friends who are fans of eating hot pot often quipped about their favourite go-to hot pot restaurant – Beauty in The Pot. With that in mind, I knew I had to make a trip there one day and so here I was – having a hot pot lunch at Beauty in The Pot Star Vista outlet to celebrate a friend’s addition, Beauty in the Pot is also one of the restaurants under Paradise Group, an established Singapore-based restaurant group. LeNu, Le Shrimp Ramen and Canton Paradise are all under its restaurant Post-Circuit Breaker Hot Pot ExperienceBefore heading into the restaurant, we were told to log into SafeEntry and then sanitise our hands. They even provided a small ziploc bag for us to keep our mask during we booked a table, we were able to get in quickly and grab a seat. The restaurant was pretty full at around lunch COVID-19, safety measures were put in place and we were specifically told not to take off our masks unless we started to eat. They even provided extra anti-bacterial serviettes so that we can clean our utensils before using table has a mini drawer packed with tissue paper and some toothpicks. Whatever we need is all at we ordered? We ordered from their restaurant’s iPad. My friend has been here many times so I let her decide what to order while I just eat whatever is laid in front of me. It turns out that she ordered some of the popular hot pot items which are also recommended by other food pot Beauty Collagen Soup $ + Spicy Nourishing Broth $ ordered the classic Beauty Collagen Soup, made from Shark collagen. If I knew it was shark collagen back then, I would not have even dined at this restaurant. Sorry, I am against eating sharks. Besides I find that chicken collagen soup tasted way better than shark collagen friend ordered a hot pot duo so that we can enjoy their signature collagen soup and spicy nourishing broth which tastes like Mala my personal opinion, I prefer the collagen soup at Tsukada Nojo Bijin Nabe restaurant. The collagen soup served here tasted quite blend and diluted. The spicy nourishing broth tasted pretty average to me. Hai Di Lao’s spicy Mala soup triumphs this spicy nourishing broth why people are still coming back to Beauty in The Pot for hot pot time and time again? That’s because their soup is refillable and their hot pot ingredients are pretty good. They place the glass jars filled with soup stock at the side of your table so that you can refill the pot with soup on your though their soup tasted pretty mediocre, their side dishes like fried beancurd skin and assorted balls are relatively quite Nagano Belly 1/2 $ Pork Collar 1/2 $ Assorted Balls Platter $ I’m not quite a fan of the sliced meat but they tasted pretty alright. What stood out for me are the assorted meat balls. A couple of the meat balls are stuffed with yummy cheese Chinese Cabbage 1/2 $ + Lotus Root 1/2 $ + Potato slices 1/2 $ add some fibre to your meal, ordering some Chinese cabbage would be good. I did not really try the lotus root or potato because I was into the collagen soup, hoping that the collagen in the soup will help beautify’ my though there isn’t much solid scientific evidence to prove that consuming collagen preserves one’s youth, I still eat them anyway. After all, they are just proteins which help in muscle building Beancurd Skin 1/2 $ fried beancurd skin is a must-order dish here. You are supposed to dip the long beancurd skin roll into the soup for 3 seconds before you pop it into your mouth. It will taste soft on the outside and crunchy on the Prawn PasteThe other dish I really enjoyed is the Ebiko Prawn Paste. It comes in a raw lump of paste where you have to use the wooden spoon to shape the paste into a ball and dunk it into the soup. You can also request for their staff to shape the paste into balls for you if you have no idea how to do I should have taken a photo of the cooked prawn paste balls which are so bouncy and chewy in how much did we spend in total? It works out to be about $100 for 3 pax. I would say it is not so bad but we were feeling very full at the end of the meal. I can’t remember if they started charging for the condiments after Circuit Breaker but we did not order any sauce because we were too engrossed in drinking the in The Pot serves complimentary yuzu ice as desserts. It’s a really nice tangy drink to have after chomping down on all the savoury dishes. It’s a very refreshing drink and you can ask for more. But that day we were told that we could only ask for a one-time refill. My friend told me that they allowed unlimited refills previously Birthday CakeIf you are organising a birthday meal for a friend, it is best to bring them to restaurants which provide a complimentary birthday cake for the birthday baby. Their staff will not only serve you a beautiful cake but also some photo props for you to take pictures. You can also make a request for them to sing the birthday baby a birthday had a rainbow birthday cake given to us that day. It’s a good old buttercream sponge cake which tasted quite Verdict on Beauty in The PotOverall, the dining experience was pleasant. Their service was relatively quite good except for one instance when the staff kind of sulk at us because we asked her to take a photo of us. She seems rather irritated when we asked for another round of dessert refill as well. Beats me. Maybe she is just having a bad was mediocre in my honest opinion. There’s only a couple of nice side dishes but other than that, it’s just a decent Chinese hotpot I head back there again? I doubt so. Some of the restaurants at Jewel Changi Airport are opened till late, and Beauty in the Pot promises hotpot opens till 3AM in the morning. It is located at a corner unit at basement 2. Look out for Lim Chee Guan now you know, then Subway. Unlike some of the other branches are decorated in pink, this outlet has a primary white, brass and Tiffany blue colour scheme. The interior is done up art deco style, like a “jewel box” which represents luxury, glamour, and romanticism. For the Jewel Changi Airport outlet, there is a dedicated luggage area and a children’s playground though closed due to COVID-19. Other to some of the hotpot restaurants which are noisier and energetic, I think this is a place with high enough ceilings and space for group outings and conversations. There are six different nourishing soup bases with rich flavours and nutritional benefits, including Signature Beauty Collagen Broth, Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Corn Broth, Signature Spicy Nourishing Soup Pork Bone Soup, Herbal Drunken Chicken Broth, and Cooling Coconut Broth. Diners can choose between a single pot, twin pot or a quart pot. The price of a single pot starts from $14; a quart pot starts from $5 each. Whether you are picking a twin or quart, one of the soups should contain the Beauty Collagen Broth, since it IS the signature and tastiest of the lot. Just a note that the broth used to be shark collagen, but it has been replaced with a concoction of pork trotter, chicken feet, compoy, chicken and pork bones. I would personally prefer the older version, but this makes a worthy replacement with its semi-thick, creamy and nourishing flavours. To be honest, the first few mouthfuls are always the best, till it gets diluted upon refills. The Spicy Nourishing Soup is NOT a “mala” broth, so it doesn’t provide that numbing feeling on the tongue. Still moderately spicy, not as greasy, and makes a good complement to the collagen. We all thought the Mushroom Soup needed some added ingredients like meats to make it richer and more flavourful, as it started out slightly diluted. The Cooling Coconut Broth left us divided. Some liked its unique, refreshing touch; while others thought a mildly sweet hotpot soup was weird. I thought it paired well with chicken meat and the Fish Tofu. Beauty in The Pot offers a variety of fresh ingredients ranging from meat and seafood to vegetables and noodles. All the meatballs, meat paste and dumplings are handmade. Some of the must-try items include the melt-in-your-mouth Signature Homemade Fish Tofu $ Ebiko Prawn Paste $ Assorted Balls Platter $ and Fried Beancurd Skin $ The Fried Beancurd Skin is supposed to be dipped into the broth for 3 seconds – nothing more, nothing less. If you are skeptical about the short period of time, try it anyway, no harm. Recently, they have introduced the Rich Lobster Broth topped with Crispy Rice $20 for twin pot, $38 for single pot You get the seafood umami flavours, but it doesn’t go overly rich so that you can still savour the natural taste of the ingredients, packed with oceanic sweetness of lobster flesh. The bonus is a bowl of Poached and Crispy Rice is given, and the server would help you top it up with the lobster broth, almost like having Lobster Pao Fan. If you are thinking what to add to your Lobster Broth hotpot, recommended items include the Homemade Fish Tofu – made with yellowtail fish, soya bean and egg white, Fried Beancurd Skin, Soft Bone Pork Meatballs, and Assorted Dumpling Platter with Pork Roll, Pork and Chives, Prawn Roll and Prawn Dumpling. I found that the Ebiko Prawn Paste shaped out of 100% prawn meat went very well with the Lobster Broth, to savour the bouncy prawny crunch in luscious shrimp stock.
